Let's Do This: Day 1

 I was planning on starting my journey tomorrow... but I just couldn't wait!!  I went today and let me tell you, I feel GREAT!  It was such a good feeling to get back in the gym.  I'm so going to get skinny!!

I mentioned on my post from yesterday about  This is a great resource for you, especially if you aren't super comfortable going to the gym and lifting weights.  Let me show you how it works:

Then Click on Day 1 and you will get Phase 1 Day 1.  Here Jamie gives you these tips: 
  • This is the muscle endurance phase: we're prepping your muscles for heavier weight and more intense training down the road.
  • You'll be doing 3 sets of 12 repetitions (3 X 12) for each exercise.
  • Aim for 1 minute of rest between each set.
  • The amount of weight you lift should be 60% of your maximum effort. Lifting too much too soon will lead to excessive muscle soreness.
  • Each workout, depending on gym traffic and your training pace, should take about an hour. 
 She also gives you the workout to do.  It will look like this:

And what I LOVE most about this site... if you don't know how to do that exercise just click on it and it will take you to a video with a trainer that shows you how to do it!  So NOW... all you have to do is check out your workout before you hit the gym and you will totally look like you know what you are doing!
